Openings

We are hiring graduate students and postdocs. The current research thrusts include: (1) achieving extreme light-matter interactions in quantum-engineered 2D materials to unlock higher-order nonlinear phenomena, and (2) developing nanoscale quantum sensing and imaging strategies and advancing quantum spin microscopy with optimized spin-photon interfaces. Solid backgrounds in applied physics, materials science, physics, electrical engineering, and other related physical science and engineering fields would be a good fit for the group.

For postdoc positions, expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: 2D devices, nanofabrication, quantum photonics, nanophotonics, solid-state spin systems, electromagnetic modeling and analysis, quantum emitters, and precision measurements.

If you are interested, please directly email Prof. Kim at lbkim@ucla.edu with a detailed CV and a statement of research interests.
